GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING ANNOUNCEMENTS (For papers other than The Advertiser):
The deadline for announcements is FRIDAY at NOON. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
There is a 100 WORD LIMIT for Community Event Announcements.
ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS EXCEEDING THE WORD LIMIT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED AND WILL BE RETURNED FOR FURTHER EDITING.
Announcements are placed SPACE PERMITTING and at no cost.
It is not necessary to submit the announcement more than once, unless there is new or revised information.
Emailed announcements do not need to be followed up by fax or mail.

**New Effective 1/1/2011 - THANK YOU ARTICLES thanking businesses and community volunteers for fundraising events will now be subjected to a $20 article charge with a 150 word count limit.
ARTICLE CHARGES - Trips/Events/Services \& Non-profit Organizations requiring the public to pay a fee will be subjected to a $20 charge per announcement and 150 word count limit. Photo's are an additional $5. This fee does not apply to ALL VOLUNTEER organizations such as churches, fire companies, schools, etc; however, some paid events will be left to the Editor's discretion.
POLITICAL PHOTO-OP ARTICLES are now $20.
There is a 200 WORD COUNT LIMIT for Community Event Articles; A 350 WORD COUNT LIMIT on Letters to the Editor AND Political Columns; and a 400 WORD COUNT LIMIT for Special Columns. IF THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET, THE ARTICLES WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED AND WILL BE RETURNED FOR FURTHER EDITING. Articles are placed SPACE PERMITTING and at no cost EXCEPT for the above information.
The cost for PHOTOS is $5. If a photo was submitted, please call the office with a credit card number.
